In 2012, Charlotte County had nearly fourteen thousand privately owned businesses. In 2014 that number has undoubtedly grown, and this is because of the entrepreneurial spirit of the area. Some of these businesses may be destined to become future multinationals, but as in all things, this is largely dependent on a number of factors that determine how capable a business is to accommodate rapid growth.
