Three employees of Laboratory Testing Inc. have been appointed to supervisory positions in the areas of field calibration services, testing and calibration quality assurance, and IT. The laboratory has seen significant growth in sales and staff in recent years, resulting in the need for additional supervisors.

Laboratory Testing Inc. sponsored a team of fifteen riders for the 2010 MS City to Shore Bike Ride held on September 25th and 26th by matching all individual sponsorship donations raised by Team Laboratory Testing. The Team made a total contribution of $5,760 to the National MS Society.

Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectrometry (EDS / EDX) have been added to the materials testing and failure analysis capabilities performed at Laboratory Testing Inc. of Hatfield, PA. The new system allows for high magnification evaluation, element analysis and material characterization.

Independent materials testing and calibration laboratory, Laboratory Testing Inc., sponsored the Philadelphia area ASM Materials Camp held at Drexel University in June 2010. The weeklong Camp was attended by twenty eight area high school students interested in pursuing materials engineering and laboratory careers

Nadcap accreditations for materials testing and ISO/IEC 17025 have been expanded and renewed for Laboratory Testing Inc. through October 31, 2011. ICP Mass Spectroscopy and Metallographic Evaluation of Fusion Welds and Welder / Welding Operator Qualifications were added to the scope of accreditation at renewal.

Laboratory Testing Inc. (LTI) has expanded its accreditation with the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA). LTI was first granted A2LA approval for calibration services in August 2001. Since that time, the scope of A2LA accreditation grew to include the calibration of a wide range of standards, gages, measuring tools, torque wrenches, force measurement, and field calibration services. The expanded scope now also includes calibration of Length Standards to 60 inches, Tapered Thread Rings, Tapered Thread Plugs, and Rules to 78 inches.
