There is wide range of anticoagulant medicines that have been used to treat patients with coagulant problems including those with cardiovascular diseases and other life-threatening medical conditions. However, patients who are using these blood thinners have to have their blood monitored and because of this, patients are required to be admitted to the hospital so that if ever adverse effects appear, antidotes could be given promptly to counteract the effects of the drug. And because the dosage depends on the laboratory results, patients have to be closely monitored as well. Moreover, patients who are taking blood thinners have constraints and dietary restrictions; and this makes it more inconvenient for patients.
