Facebook Has Reversed Ban on Recent Lingerie Advert: My-Knickers Comments

In July many of you might have seen the #TheNewSexy campaign which was launched on Facebook, aiming to 'tackle social norms' and put emphasis on the fact that all women are sexy. The campaign featured an alopecia sufferer, a recovered anorexic, a transgender woman and more, all modelling sexy lingerie from their boudoir-inspired collection, but after a string of complaints the advert was rejected by Facebook saying that they disallow 'ads that promote sexual acts, sexual videos and publications, strip clubs or adult show'.

Following what could be considered as an embarrassingly long length of time, the fashion industry has finally upped its game, taking steps to diversify the meaning of the world 'nude'.
