In July many of you might have seen the #TheNewSexy campaign which was launched on Facebook, aiming to 'tackle social norms' and put emphasis on the fact that all women are sexy. The campaign featured an alopecia sufferer, a recovered anorexic, a transgender woman and more, all modelling sexy lingerie from their boudoir-inspired collection, but after a string of complaints the advert was rejected by Facebook saying that they disallow 'ads that promote sexual acts, sexual videos and publications, strip clubs or adult show'.

Following what could be considered as an embarrassingly long length of time, the fashion industry has finally upped its game, taking steps to diversify the meaning of the world 'nude'. Start-up lingerie company Naja have took lead, selling a range of lingerie that is available in several different shades of nude, to enable people of all skin tones to find options which suit them perfectly. This collection has cleverly been titled 'Nude for All'.

Recent reports have drawn attention to what is set to be a new television show 'Undressed', which involves strangers meeting for their 'first date' in only their underwear. A new report and analysis from Companies House has revealed the significance of underwear and its manufacture across the UK as a whole. It showed that there were 225 companies involved in manufacturing underwear, with London having the greatest numbers compared to any other place in the UK. The statistics also highlighted that the majority of underwear manufacture focused on women; with 225 specialising in female underwear. It is thought in light of these figures that more women may be tempted to go underwear shopping and even look for British designs, as there are clearly plenty out there.
