Nova's new transformer-isolated Galaxy Series Rugged Inverters are designed for harsh environment, military, and utility applications, and feature an optional advanced Internal Suppression Filter Network (ISFN) to suppress the significant transients usually associated with these types of conditions. They can be built to meet MIL-STD-810, MIL-S-901, MIL-STD-1472, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-167 and other standards optionally. Transformer-isolated topology makes these Inverters suitable for very high inrush loads, such as motors and compressors.

Nova Electric's new Ultra Lightweight Galaxy-Series rugged, true online UPS systems are high-reliability power sources specifically designed for demanding applications in high shock, vibration, humidity, and EMI environments in compliance to MIL-STD-1399, MIL-STD-461, MIL-S-901, MIL-STD-167, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-740, DOD-STD-1399, and RTCA/DO-160. The compact chassis measures only 30"H x 24"W x 16" deep, and shock mounts are optional as required. Many battery options are available, including premium long-life wide-temperature cells and LiFePO4 packs for significant weight savings.

Nova Electric's new NGL130W-Series Rugged Pure Sinewave DC-AC/DC Inverters are specifically designed for harsh environment applications wherever standard utility-like power is needed at 50, 60, or 400 Hz. These are fully ruggedized against shock, vibration and humidity for ground mobile, naval, or aircraft applications. The compact chassis measures only 2" High x &" Wide x 7" Deep, and offers protection from the elements up to IP66. The sealed design also allows for wide temperature operation, from -40C to +52C. Input is wide range 18-32 VDC per MIL-STD-1275, and output includes both fixed AC and multiple DC outputs (usually 5 VDC @ 10 Watts and 12 VDC @ 10 Watts.) These inverters are ideal for running electronic loads such as computers, monitors, printers, telecom systems, radios, fluorescent lamps from batteries, field generators, and solar electro-voltaic panels.

Nova Electric's new rugged NGLM-Series Three-Phase Output Pure Sinewave DC-AC Inverters are extremely reliable, designed to provide many years of service in high shock, vibration, humidity, and EMI environments in compliance to RTCA/DO-160G and MIL-STD-704F. These units accept standard inputs of 28, 48, 120, or 230 Volts DC nominal. They are offered in 3KVA, 4.5KVA and 6KVA output power, and output voltage is tightly regulated with less than 3% total harmonic distortion. The NGLM units are modular, with small footprints and flexible mounting configurations. The chassis measures only 17.75"L x 13"W x 8"H and weighs just 34 pounds total. A mounting plate is integrated into the chassis. Input connection is typically via bus bars with terminal blocks for output, though circular MS-type connectors are available optionally. These inverters use field–proven, cutting edge IGBT-based high frequency switching technology to achieve very high MTBF, and very low mean time to repair. Typical applications include military and commercial aircraft.

Nova Electric now offers a variety of optional rugged transit cases for use with our rack mount True Online UPSs, Pure Sinewave DC-AC Inverters, and Solid-State Frequency Converters. There are many different types of transit cases, but most customers select either light weight thermoformed LLDPE / LMDE plastic cases, or aluminum alloy cases. Either way, IP ratings up to IP68 dust tight and fully submersible are available, and the case shells and stainless steel hardware are generally resistant to impact damage, UV, solvents, corrosion, saltwater, and fungus to MIL-STD-810 levels. The internal fixed rack mount frames can be equipped with elastomeric shock mounts if required, for further protection. There are almost unlimited options for exterior colors and finishes, as well as handle types, casters, pressure equalization valves, and much more all available per request.
