The PADI IDC Indonesia Program is available for all professional level Divemasters looking to gain a rewarding and successful career as a scuba diving Instructor. The PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) offered by Multi Award Winning Platinum PADI Course Director Holly Macleod offers a wealth of industry and training experience alongside world class training facilities at the only PADI 5 Star IDC Career Development Center (CDC) in Gili Trawangan.

The program has gained popularity over the years and has gained recognition from PADI and the diving industry as a whole. The professional structure and pure level of educational excellence has also been recognized with the PADI "Outstanding Commitment to Professional Development" Award. PADI Course Director Holly Macleod has once again received the "Platinum" PADI status Award of 2016 based upon the extreme quality of professionalism and educational results during 2015. The September PADI Instructor Development Program with Holly is essentially split into two parts; Pre-IDC preparation workshops and the actual PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC). The pre-IDC preparation workshops start on 12th September 2016 and the PADI Instructor Development Course starts on 17th September 2016. The 5 day pre-IDC preparation is simply designed to review, practice and master the knowledge, skills and theory from the Divemaster Course and it is strongly recommended for candidates to participate.

The August Instructor Development Program with Holly is actually split into two parts the 5 day IDC preparation which starts on the 8th August and the 11 day Instructor Development Course which starts on the 13th August.

The July Scuba Instructor Training Program with Holly is actually split into two parts; the 5 day pre-IDC preparation workshops and the 11-day PADI Instructor Development Course. The Pre-IDC preparation starts on the 4th July and the actual Instructor course starts on the 9th July and it is strongly recommended that all candidates join on the start of the pre-IDC workshops. The reasons for strongly recommending candidates joining the pre-IDC workshops are two-fold; firstly it allows candidates to be fully prepared for the program and becoming true masters in all skills, knowledge and theory which should have been covered within the Divemaster Program and secondly it allows candidates to make a smooth transition into the Instructor portion of the course having already met their peers which they will be working with allowing them to get the best possible training experience.

The program takes place every month in the Gili Islands, Indonesia which is a rapidly growing tourist destination attracting an astonishing amount of holiday makers from all warps of life. From the budget backpackers looking for a new experience staying in one of the many home stays to the high end luxury holiday maker looking to grab a couple of weeks on a tropical island offering stunning palm swept beaches and warm tropical waters. Therefore there is an abundance of tourists looking to take their first dive course and explore the rich underwater environment offered around the Gili Islands. It is also popular with experienced divers offering a range of dive sites only a stone's throw away and plenty of continuing education courses allowing divers to fine tune their knowledge and skills.

The PADI Frequent Trainer Program is designed to recognize and reward the most active PADI Course Directors in the world based upon the amount of instructor level certifications produced and the number of those candidates who choose to take further education programs. The Platinum Status is the highest possible rating for a PADI Course Director. PADI have once again awarded Holly Macleod with the Platinum Status highlighting her overall commitment and dedication to instructor training.

The annual PADI Frequent Trainer program awards are designed to recognize the most active PADI Course Directors worldwide and awards are given based on the number of candidates who choose to complete their Instructor training with a particular Course Director, plus how many candidates stay on to continue their education and how much support Course Directors can offer in terms of career development after the course. The Platinum award is the highest available within the Instructor Development system and recognizes Holly's overall commitment to the PADI Education system and her pure experience in Instructor training and development.

The program takes place at Trawangan Dive; the first established PADI 5 Star IDC Career Development Center (CDC) in the Gili Islands. Today Trawangan Dive remains the only PADI 5 Star CDC Center in Gili Trawangan and provides world class facilities and the best possible training options for professional divers. The dive center offers the best possible facilities including 2 swimming pools, dedicated Instructor training boat, classroom facilities, purpose built Open Water training site and beachside restaurant and bar.

Although the actual Instructor Development Course starts on the 16th January it is strongly recommended that candidates arrive on the 11th to take advantage of the Pre-Course workshops which are designed to achieve a number of objectives. During the workshops candidates will first review the knowledge and skills learnt during the Divemaster Course and fine tune them to a mastery demonstration standard over and above that expected within the industry. Skill circuits are mastered in a way that future students can easily and effectively learn and replicate these skills and have fun whilst doing so. Theoretical classroom aspects are reviewed and developed in a way that future students can easily pick up some of the vital diving knowledge relevant to the particular PADI program applicable. Another benefit of the pre-IDC Workshop is that it allows candidates to settle in to the dive center, meet the staff and take advantage of free fun diving.
