Abraham Maslow's theory of needs attempts to identify the internal factors that motivate an individual. According to him, individuals are motivated by unsatisfied needs. From his theory, those needs create internal pressures influencing a person's behavior. The needs must be met in a strict sequence starting with the ones at the bottom of the pyramid.
