In 2009, the global crisis inflicted heavy losses on the world forklift industry, resulting in a sharp drop of 40% or above for sales volume of forklift trucks in Europe, America, Oceania and Africa. The case was also the same to China whose forklift sales volume witnessed the first-ever negative growth in the past decade. However, the forklift industry of China resumed in the second half year of 2009 thanks to a series of stimulus policies. Noticeably, China experienced an explosive growth in the industry in the first 8 months of 2010.
