Southwest Schools hosted a blood donation drive at its Corpus Christi campus on Wednesday June 8, 2011. The drive was organized as a volunteer-based project to create public awareness.

Southwest Schools of Texas is enrolling students in its rewarding Computer Accounting Specialist program. The Computer Accounting Specialist program is designed to teach students the skills needed for their certification and to gain entry level positions as accounting assistants, bookkeepers, and/or auditing clerks in an accounting environment.

This examination is based upon knowledge, skills, and abilities required at job entry. Southwest School of Business and Technical Careers is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of the Council on Occupational Education and is entitled to all the services, privileges, and professional recognition resulting therefrom.

Southwest Schools provides flexible and innovative training in Cosmetology, a field that is expected to show strong growth, even in a weak economy.

Since 1979, Southwest Schools of Texas has been preparing students for careers in Allied health, Business, Accounting, and Cosmetology. The school offers enhanced programs of study in training students to become Medical Assistants, Medical Office Specialists, Computerized Accounting Specialists, General Office Skills, Pharmacy Technicians, and Cosmetologists.
