On the heels of its inauguration at the end of last year, Sovereign's new Florida facility is opening its doors to the South Florida area on the 16th and 17th of January, offering a networking luncheon, chair massages as well as tours and a chance to meet their treatment team. Located in a serene waterfront location in Fort Myers, Sovereign's Florida facility offers its hallmark of addiction and dual diagnosis treatment with a focus on innovative and holistic approaches to brain wellness.

Sovereign Health Group, leader in addiction, dual diagnosis and mental health residential treatment programs for adults and adolescents, has experienced tremendous growth in 2014, celebrating the opening of four new treatment facilities as well as innovative additions to their programs. Sovereign Health Group inaugurated their Intensive Family Program at the beginning of 2014 and has expanded its' program elements and weekend events to occur bi-monthly to reach more patients and their families. Initiating the commencement of the program at Sovereign's headquarters in San Clemente, the rehabilitation treatment provider plans to broaden the program's reach to all locations across the United States in the near future.

Sovereign Health is pleased to announce the opening of their new adult Florida treatment facility. Set in Cape Coral on the Gulf of Mexico, the Fort Myers-based addiction and dual diagnosis center specializes in holistic brain wellness techniques, offering cognitive testing and biofeedback as well as alternative therapy options for overall health.

Sovereign Health Group welcomes alumni services to patients graduating from their recovery programs. Alumni services are another benefit added to the company’s expanding services and locations for patients and their families. With the addition of founding program member Tori DeGroote, Alumni Manager, Sovereign has been able to accentuate continuing care, peer-to-peer support, plan community events, networking workshops, recovery meetings and alumni dinner events. Additionally as the program is growing, alumni are invited to join Sovereign’s alumni Facebook page and other social media profiles as platforms with connections and resources.

Sovereign Health Group ranked within the top 25 percent on this list under the healthcare industry, with a 343 percent growth rate in the past three years. Sovereign also demonstrated substantial gain in staffing from 2011 to 2014, adding 140 new jobs and yielding total revenue of $14.3 million in 2013.

Over two million women a year are victims of domestic violence, with a third of female trauma victims developing post-traumatic stress disorder and substance abuse issues as a result. Sovereign Health is pleased to announce the opening of its Chandler, Arizona residential treatment center on Monday, October 13th, offering a specialized trauma track in addition to addiction, dual diagnosis, mental and behavioral health treatment exclusively for women. Accompanying dual diagnosis treatment of co-occurring disorders, Sovereign Health’s new facility offers a treatment program that is mindful of the relationship between past trauma, addiction and mental health issues.

One in five Americans suffer from a mental illness every year, with a little over half receiving any treatment. Mental Illness Awareness week was formed by the U.S. Congress in 1990 in recognition of the National Association of Mental Illness (NAMI), providing them with an opportunity to engage the community in its mission of education and awareness in improving mental health. Mental Illness Awareness Week also coincides with National Day of Prayer for Mental Illness Recovery and Understanding and National Depression Screening Day.
