Synergy Trains Parents, Teachers and Healthcare Workers to Save Lives

The Heart And Stroke Foundation of Canada has established that the teaching of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and training in the use of automated external defibrillators (AED) will save lives of all ages from the leading cause of death in the country today. The Heart And Stroke Foundation states, "Knowing how to respond to a cardiac emergency can increase a person's odds of survival and recovery in situations by 30% or more." The training to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation, combined with the latest in first aid techniques is deemed even more important for parents and those who work with children." The website Kidshealth.org further reports, "Every parent should know how and when to administer CPR. CPR can save a child's life until advanced life support can be given by health care providers either on the scene or in an emergency room setting."
