The Club at Mediterra Named Community of the Year for 10th Time at the Sand Dollar Awards Gala

LogoEach year the Collier Building Industry Association's Sales & Marketing Council hosts a gala known as the Sand Dollar Awards to recognize excellence in building, development, landscape, interior design, remodeling, commercial design, advertising, marketing, and sales. Recently the judging panel, a group comprised of industry experts, recognized The Club at Mediterra with an unprecedented 10th Community of the Year award. The honor was bestowed after careful evaluation of the 1,700-acre community's amenities, neighborhoods tucked into nature preserves, parks, lakes, and formal European garden. In addition to the community of the year recognition, two homes of Mediterra accumulated five Sand Dollar awards: The Belita garnered the Product Design and Interior Design of the Year honors in the $2,500,001 to $2.75 million category. Meanwhile, the Isabella Two-Story received product and interior design awards for homes prices from $3,000,001 to $3.25 million and Best Pool Design over $50,000.

PGA Director of Golf Rob Anderson Receives 2016 Merchandiser of the Year Award

Mr. Anderson was recently announced as the recipient of the 2016 Merchandiser of the Year Award from the South Florida PGA branch. Fresh off their Distinguished Emerald Club Member accolade, the Club will celebrate their newest award winner along with other award winners at the Annual Awards and Hall of Fame Dinner on November 15, hosted at Grey Oaks Country Club.

Mediterra Hosts 3rd Annual Tiebreak Tournament & First-Ever, Single Day Tiebreak Tournament for Juniors

LogoOn Saturday, August 27th, The Club at Mediterra will host their Third Annual 1-Day Singles Tiebreak Tournament, presented by London Bay Homes. Three weeks later, on Saturday, September 17th they will host the First-Ever USTA Tiebreak Tournament for juniors. Mediterra hosted the first-ever, USTA Sanctioned Tiebreak Tournament 3 years ago and since then, these compressed tournaments have exploded in popularity. "It's no surprise considering the modern, busy schedule. Many people don't want to spend 3 days, their entire weekend, and a lot of waiting around to play a tournament. I want my fitness, my tennis, my entertainment; and I want it now," says Mediterra's USPTA Director of Tennis, Mike Baldwin. Baldwin served on the USTA Adult Competition Committee that introduced "Alternative Format" initiative.
