On September 18th, the Curing Retinal Blindness Foundation will hold its biggest event of the year. Bike the Basin is a fundraiser that raises money to directly benefit the Curing Retinal Blindness Foundation, which is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to funding research towards a cure for degenerative retinal disease. Now in its 6th year, the upcoming Bike the Basin has just added even more exciting incentives to join the fun and come together for an important cause.

Curing Retinal Blindness Foundation Gearing Up for Annual 'Bike the Basin' Fundraiser

The Curing Retinal Blindness Foundation's largest annual event is only a few months away, and the organization is working around the clock to spread the word locally, nationally, and internationally. Families from Bucks County and the surrounding towns are setting up teams and raising money for the 6th Annual "Bike The Basin" fundraiser. The proceeds raised go directly to the Curing Retinal Blindness Foundation, which is a 501(c)(3) organization that is avidly working to cure Degenerative Retinal Disease also known as CRB1. This condition is a rare eye disease that affects children across the world. The event will be held on Sunday, September 18th at 9:30 AM and will be hosted at the Northampton Civic Center located in Richboro, PA.

The Curing Retinal Blindness Foundation Champions Rare Eye Disease Awareness Day on Capitol Hill

This past February, the Curing Retinal Blindness Foundation helped to make history. The organization, which advocates for the funding of research towards a cure for CRB1 degenerative retinal diseases, was present on Capitol Hill on February 25 for the introduction of a bill designating February 28 as National Rare Eye Disease Awareness Day. Presented by Rep. Mike Fitzpatrick (PA-8), the bill was presented in print as well as in Braille—the first bill in US history to appear in both written forms.
