The Sagemont School is taking athletic training and preparation to a new exciting level. Recently, this private high school, announced a partnership with Ultimate Sports institute (USI), a Sports Performance & Fitness facility located at the Sheinberg Family YMCA in Weston Regional Park. USI is providing strength and conditioning training to Sagemont varsity athletes, and although they just started training on September 14, the student athletes are already very excited. High school basketball player Rod Days said, "USI training helps me so much as an athlete. My goal is to play basketball in college and this training helps my physical development, something I'll definitely need to be successful at the next level." Sagemont Head Basketball Coach Adam Ross said, "Our relationship with The Ultimate Sports Institute gives our players and our program a distinct advantage. USI helps our athletes with strength and flexibility which are all crucial to injury prevention. A side effect of their training is greater explosiveness which dramatically enhances our performance on the court.”
