In the midst of their first National concert tour and their first major magazine cover spread, Well-Strung, The Singing String Quartet, made their NBC Today Show debut this past week on "Today with Kathie Lee & Hoda" on Tuesday, March 18. The group follow this with performances in Los Angeles at Rockwell on April 1, and San Francisco at Feinstein's at the Nikko on April 3 - 6. They have been referred to as "absolutely amazing" by BBC Radio host Jo Good during their recent London debut, and as "the hottest thing with a bow since Jennifer Lawrence in The Hunger Games" by the New York Daily News. In the States, they’ve also recently been called the “hottest thing with a bow since Jennifer Lawrence in The Hunger Games” by the New York Daily News. Well-Strung: the Singing String Quartet will make their West Coast debut with a series of concerts in four cities over the holiday season. The quartet will appear at Feinstein’s in San Francisco on December 27 at 8pm and December 28 at 7pm; at Rockwell Table & Stage in Los Angeles on December 30 at 8pm; at Martini’s Above Fourth in San Diego on New Year’s Eve, December 31 at 7pm; and at The Copa in Palm Springs on January 3 and 4 at 8pm. Back by popular demand, Well-Strung: The Singing String Quartet, the “hunky string quartet that finds the common ground between Mozart and Rihanna ” (Time Out) will return to play a limited three-week engagement (February 28-March 16) at The Marjorie S. Deane Theater (10 West 64th Street – located in the YMCA). Directed by Donna Drake, Well-Strung will play Thursday-Saturday evenings at 8:00 pm. Well-Strung, described as a ‘mash-up of string quartet and boy band,’ is an all-male string quartet featuring classical musicians who sing, putting their own spin on the music of Mozart, Vivaldi, Pink, Lady Gaga, Adele, and more. The group makes the leap to the New York fall music scene after a successful three-month summer run at The Art House in Provincetown, MA. The New York musical production will take place at the The Marjorie S. Deane Little Theater from October 27th through November 10th.
