Dubai-based television personality, entrepreneur and celebrity partner of United Nations World Food Program (WFP), Uma Ghosh Deshpande joins WFP's humanitarian efforts in raising funds for relief work in Nepal. In wake of the two earthquakes that have hit Nepal, on April 25th and May 12th, more than 8 million people in 39 districts have been severely affected. With over 5,000 deaths and 9,000 injured people, WFP has mounted a massive response to meet the urgent needs of the survivors, which include food, water, shelter and medication.
