At Scholars Punting Cambridge we pride ourselves on every area of our business. Our staff are trained to the highest level in boat control and must pass extensive testing before taking the public on tour. Customer service and historic tour delivery are second to none, we have our own script which must be performed to a high standard. Our boats are built in house to the upmost specification, which includes many features that are only available on our punts. This is facilitated by our dedicated workshop with specialist heating, ventilation and dehumidification, so unlike other punt manufacturers we can use the latest finishes on our craft. Our director Ashley Dalton has extensive industry experience having worked in the industry for 17 years he has operated successfully punting companies in Cambridge, Canterbury, Norwich and Maidstone.. As a legitimate company we are members of Visit Cambridge, this is not available to illegitimate companies, and shows that we a trusted local company. We specifically tour past all of the historic, Cambridge University colleges, which are located on the River Cam. You can see seven colleges and nine bridges. We offer both shared and private tours, so that we can suit any budget. Our normal working hours are 10am to 5pm, however you can book in advance to go outside of these hours. We also offer tours to Grantchester, this is a tour through the beautiful Grantchester meadows. Whilst your punting in Grantchester, you may wish to visit the world famous Grantchester Orchard tea rooms.
