Second Chance Pet Adoptions

Second Chance Pet Adoptions rescues stray or abandoned dogs and cats in the wider Wake County area of North Carolina. We are a grassroots organization, established by three local women in 1987 concerned about homeless animals. We received our 501(c) 3 non-profit status in 1989 and have always been a no-kill animal rescue organization, never euthanizing an animal to make room for another. We maintain an adoption facility for adult cats in Raleigh and house younger cats and all dogs in our family of foster homes. We provide medical care, food, shelter and love to over 300 animals per year with assistance from our family of over 100 volunteers. Over 6,000 dogs and cats have found their forever home through our programs.
