The Animation Project

The Animation Project (TAP) uses digital art technology as a tool to change the lives of youth transitioning through the juvenile justice system by capitalizing on their natural interest in new media. TAP provides direct service 3D Computer Animation Therapy Groups. In these hands-on groups, youth work as a team to produce original, animated videos using professional-level computer animation software. When it comes to triggering positive change in social and professional fitness, digital arts technology affords TAP a path-of-least-resistance advantage, and a special relevance to the youth, over traditional methods of rehabilitative therapy. The focus on professional-level digital art technology also gives TAP programming an edge by providing youth with in-demand computer skills.
