The Learning Alliance, in cooperation with its community partners, is dedicated to delivering the latest advances in science-based education techniques to area teachers. Neuro-scientists are learning about the architecture of the brain and how the brain learns to read, and we at The Learning Alliance have identified the teaching methods that best harness this new understanding. In our effort to radically improve our children’s literacy rates, we are all stakeholders. Partnerships between schools, civic youth organizations, non-profits, universities, philanthropists and parents are all critical to our success. The good news is that we all have every reason to believe that positive changes are not just possible, but that they are on the near horizon.
