The all-hour restaurant is situated on the first floor of the hotel and serves the best of world cuisines. It is divided into two spaces – the 24-hour indoor dining space and bar and an external terrace providing an al-fresco dining and entertainment option, with a relaxing 17 meter waterfall, bridge and landscaped surroundings. The terrace space, nestled amongst lush planting provides privacy and enclosure, acting as a respite from the vibrancy and energy of Park Street and other areas of the hotel. Following the recent stunning renovation of the reception and the lobby area, the restaurant has been designed in a bold yet calm indoor-outdoor style. Natural materials and fresh colours have been used extensively, including a long bar counter formed of random sized granite strips and bespoke pendants wrapped in slim white leather cord. The furniture is upholstered in soft blue and green tones, further enhancing the calm and inviting environs. The full height mirrored wall along the entrance has been back-painted with artwork influenced by the archetypal Kolkata banyan tree, giving an interesting 3D silhouette effect. A large window over the cold buffet and full height glazed doors maximise natural light into the space with a view of the external landscaping. Floor and wall finishes include light granite stone and rich timber flowing between the restaurant and the outdoor area, bridging the two spaces. Executive Chef, Sharad Dewan and his team have crafted an inventive and elaborate menu that promises to stimulate and excite diners’ taste buds like never before. The menu brings together local Kolkata cuisine while also offering classic and contemporary offerings from around the world. Signature dishes include Foie Gras Miniature Burgers, Bloody Mary Shots with Parmesan Foam, Risotto of Forest and Field Mushrooms, Hand Dived Canadian Scallops, Herb Rubbed Bar-be-qued Pork Chops, Mahi Radhuni Tikka, Pizzas and Calazones from the wood fired oven, among others. The Bridge also offers a buffet option for breakfast and lunch with a smoking-hot selection of creative dishes on one hand and chilled-out cold salads, cold cuts and desserts on the other.
