I learned about sales from 30 years as an independent insurance agent and broker in central NY State. Back in 2000, I knew I wanted to move south, but the business kept me there. I started a sideline of working on the internet and eBay. Selling collectibles from there also helped to subsidize our auction habit. In late 2003, I started working on Adsense. It became a significant income, $0.25 at a time. I learned much of my search engine optimization during this time and have kept it updated. In 2008, I started a few affiliate programs, and decided it was time to start my move south. I put aside the internet, except for my own business uses and took it up again in 2011 for a few select clients. Now having moved south, I am starting to build up a local following and working with clients to make thier businesses more profitable thru technology.
Mobile Websites, Mobile apps and very effective ways to use them. Long gone are the days of a website that doesn't produce results. Mine are extreme examples of income producing technology applied to a local level and smart phones and tablets.
Watching my Grand kids grow up is the biggest one. Fishing, home repair and some woodworking. and one of these days, I'd like to go hunting again! Darts are a bad habit as well.
