In the movie "Venom," Riot is the main antagonist and the leader of the symbiotes that crash-landed on Earth in search of hosts. Riot's ultimate goal is to use the Life Foundation's space exploration technology to bring more symbiotes to Earth and conquer the planet. Riot is a particularly dangerous symbiote, as it has the ability to transfer between hosts easily, making it difficult to kill. It first infects a Life Foundation astronaut upon their return to Earth, and then moves on to infect the head of the Life Foundation, Carlton Drake. In the final battle of the movie, Venom and Riot fight for control over Eddie Brock's body. With the help of Anne Weying, Eddie is able to weaken Riot, allowing Venom to consume and destroy it. Overall, Riot serves as a formidable opponent for Venom and provides much of the action and conflict in the movie.
