Starting out in retail, Mandy quickly found a passion for business and customer service. At the age of 19, Mandy began working as a floor sales associate for a big box electronics retailer. During her time with the company, Mandy took the initiative to create and implement new training materials for floor associates to help make their jobs more efficient, help the sales people be more knowledgable, and better able to serve the customers. She also utilized marketing techniques such as on site radio DJ’s, hand out dossiers, and recruiting events, which at the time, were very innovative and unique. From very early in her career, she saw the potential of social media for brands as well as the hunger of customers to have more access to the brands they love. Her passion and drive earned her several achievers awards and multiple promotions. Upon reaching management level, she quickly saw there had to be a way to do things better. In sales there is a common approach to marketing which usually involves profiling your customers and putting them into a target group. This seemingly decent approach leaves much to be desired for the customer however. Mandy saw a communication gap between businesses and their customers, and sought to fill it. In her time managing small business brands, she has represented companies who have been featured in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Mountain Living, Tiny House Living, Tiny House Blog, Quilt in a Day, and many more!
