About Project Read Project Read is a local adult literacy program that provides a one-on-one tutorial program to enable functionally illiterate adults to improve their reading and writing skills sufficiently to meet their personal goals, function well in society, and become more productive citizens. Project Read provides the training, technical assistance, materials, and other support that volunteer tutors need to assist adults and their families to acquire or improve their literacy skills. Project Read works with over 100 adult students each year. Project Read has its headquarters in the Provo City Library at Academy Square.
