Vega Systems Inc. provides solutions for high availability video surveillance. Video produced by surveillance cameras is consumed outside the camera. Such a consumer is could be an in-network local recording server, an in-network viewer, cloud recorder or a remote viewer. Many times, video content does not reach the intended destination, due to a variety of reasons. Components (Reasons) that can fail in more ways cause more failures than others. For e.g., there are more ways a server could fail than there are for a network switch to fail and there are more reasons for a cloud link to have low performance than there are for a camera to have low performance. These reasons need special mitigation. Vega Systems provides such mitigating solutions. To mitigate in-network recorder failures, Vega Systems offers Redundancy Management Framework (RMF). RMF is a plugin solution for XProtect that helps set up dual in-network recorders, and provides functionality to leverage the presence of these two live video databases to achieve high-availability. Through such leverage, live video, archive video and dependent components such as video AI are more reliable. To achieve high-availability live video viewing, the solution SureStream is offered. Also a plugin solution for XProtect, this enables high resolution video to be streamed direct from the camera to a viewer, by-passing intermediate servers that are otherwise needed. ElastiStream enables reliable video transport to the cloud by adapting video production to link speed. It is targeted towards applications with varying link speed, such as, but not limited to, transportation and remote location surveillance.
