The American Holistic Nurses Association will be holding a regional conference, entitled Holistic Self-Care: Your Secret Power for Enhancing Patient Care, from 9AM-5PM on Friday, September, 25, 2015 in Fort Wayne, Indiana at the Grand Wayne Convention Center. Attendees will learn about self-care and why it is essential to personal thriving and quality patient care. The focus will be on the interrelationship of mind, body, spirit self-care for nurses and self-care practices that can be easily incorporated into daily life. The American Holistic Nurses Association's Education Provider Committee is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center Commission (ANCC) on Accreditation.

Alia Crandall, of Boise, Idaho was awarded the 2015 Bea Alley Commemorative Conference Scholarship Award at the AHNA 35th annual conference in Branson, Missouri June 12-17, 2015. This scholarship was named in honor of lifetime AHNA member, Bea Alley, an early leader in holistic nursing, and is intended to keep her memory alive. The scholarship allows students to take part in the wonderful opportunities at conference so that they may expand their holistic education.

Jane Flanagan, PhD, CNP, of Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts was awarded the 2015 Research Grant at the AHNA 35th annual conference in Branson, Missouri June 12-17, 2015. The AHNA Research Grant is a competitive grant that awards up to $5,000 to members conducting holistic nursing research that demonstrates advancing holistic nursing practices.

Marcie Carlson, MSN, RN, AHN-BC, of Twin Lakes, Wisconsin was presented the 2015 Holistic Rising Star Award at the AHNA 35th annual conference in Branson, Missouri June 12-17, 2015. This award is intended to recognize new nurses who have dedicated themselves to a holistic path who have applied creative holistic practices and epitomize holism in their personal and professional lives.

The American Holistic Nurses Association installed Carole Ann Drick, PhD, RN, AHN-BC, as President for the 2015-2017 term at the organization's 35th Annual Conference held in Branson, MO June 12-17, 2015.

Anna Rhodes, RN, BSN, CCRN-CSC, HNB-BC, of San Antonio, Texas was awarded the 2015 Charlotte McGuire Scholarship at the AHNA 35th annual conference in Branson, Missouri June 12-17, 2015. The Charlotte McGuire Scholarship Program was named in honor of AHNA Founder, Charlotte McGuire and is intended to recognize and celebrate upstanding members of the new generation of holistic nurses dedicated to practicing holistic nursing at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Margaret "Maggie" O'Brien King, RN-BC, PhD, AHN-BC, CNL, of Loveland, Ohio was awarded the 2015 Lifetime Achievement award at the AHNA 35th annual conference in Branson, Missouri June 12-17, 2015. The Lifetime Achievement Award is given to celebrate the outstanding lifetime achievement in the field of holistic nursing; a way of saying Thank You for all the holistic nursing work accomplished through sustained participation in AHNA and advancing the specialty practice of holistic nursing.

Mary Enzman Hines RN, PhD, AHN-BC, of Aurora, Colorado was awarded the 2015 Holistic Nurse of the Year at the AHNA 35th annual conference in Branson, Missouri June 12-17, 2015. The Holistic Nurse of the Year Award (HNY) recognizes an AHNA member with outstanding innovation and/or a change in the field of holistic nursing and who has demonstrated their commitment to the holistic nursing core values. This award is presented each year at the AHNA annual conference.
