Calcium chloride (CaCl2), is an inorganic salt of calcium and chlorine that works as an ionic halide. Anhydrous CaCl2 is used in the chemicals, pharmaceuticals, textiles, and dyestuff industries for various applications such as electrolyte replacement and as an anti-allergic agent, in production of calcium silicate and calcium stearate, as a dehydrating and drying agent for organic gases and liquids and in desiccators, as sizing agent and in the refrigeration plants for the preparation of brine solution, and in concrete acceleration and dust control.
