In anticipation for Christmas, the Elmwood Park Zoo has gotten into the holiday spirit. Providing holiday bargains that can't be found elsewhere, the zoo is announcing their 12 days of deals. Those who wish to inquire about the deals can visit the website each morning at 9:30 am to see what the zoo is offering on that day. Each deal must be taken advantage of with 24 hours as the deals are valid for one day only. Currently on Day 3, the specials wrap up on December 16.

The winter provides temperatures where kids and families will want to spend their time indoors. For those children who have winter birthdays, and parents are looking for unique and entertaining things to do with kids in Bucks County, PA, Elmwood Park Zoo is announcing they are opening an all-new outdoor ice skating rink. The zoo will host birthday parties on the ice, as well as provide a platform where kids can stay active as the temperatures drop. The ice was rented and is maintained by Artificial Ice Events, the largest synthetic ice rental company in the nation.

By enrolling in the Adopt-an-Animal program at the zoo, individuals and families can provide funding that benefits the care for their favorite animal. As a special promotion, the Elmwood Park Zoo is announcing they are offering 30% off their adoption packages throughout the month of October. There are various packages, each including a photo, certificate, fact sheet of the chosen animal, car decal, email updates, and recognition on the website. As the benefits of each package increases, so too does the price.

Beginning this September, the Elmwood Park Zoo is excited to announce a unique opportunity of hand feeding the zoo’s bison. Families looking for fun things to do in Bucks County, PA can now spend a day at the zoo and take advantage of the last month of the giraffe feeding exhibit while being among the first to face the bison.

On Sunday, September 14, from 12 PM to 3:30 PM Elmwood Park Zoo will host its annual Oktoberfest beer tasting festival. Guests will be able to stroll the Zoo while sampling unique and delicious beers from dozens of local and national breweries. This summer, Elmwood Park Zoo is announcing they are welcoming back two male giraffes for guests to pet and hand feed throughout the zoo season. The popular exhibit brought thousands of guests to the Elmwood Park Zoo last year to greet and interact with these magnificent creatures. This year’s exhibit is sponsored by Independence Blue Cross and opens to the public on Memorial Day Weekend. Feedings may be purchased for $3 per person. Interested individuals can find feeding times on the website, as they will be posted daily.

In honor of Earth Day, which is celebrated annually on April 22, many organizations and venues focus their efforts on “going green” to help benefit the environment. To show their support of a healthy planet for humans and animals alike, Elmwood Park Zoo is proud to announce their Party for the Planet event this April. The event, presented by PECO, is being held on Saturday, April 26 beginning at 11 am. When families and guests purchase a general admission ticket for the zoo, they will be able to attend the Party for the Planet without additional charges.
