Very little can compare to the excitement of exploring a zoo after dark, but Elmwood Park Zoo in Norristown, PA, has found a way to provide kids, college students, and adults alike with the thrill of a lifetime. On select Fridays and Saturdays from June through October 2022, adventurers and thrill-seekers can get their hearts pumping and sides aching from all-night laughter by navigating a ropes course in the dark during the zoo's Night Adventures event.

Add some extra adventure to your breakfast with Elmwood Park Zoo's Breakfast with the Giraffes this summer! With select dates throughout June, July, August, and September, there's plenty of opportunity for you and your family to enjoy the first meal of the day next to the three giraffes located in the Norristown, PA, park, upon which guests can enjoy a complimentary giraffe feeding. In addition to the breakfast, guests purchasing tickets will receive free admission to the zoo, ending their day with the best animals Elmwood Park Zoo has to offer.

Elmwood Park Zoo is proud to announce its role in the creation of a new exhibition featuring one of the world's largest collections of African American history and culture. "The Charles L. Blockson Exhibition: an African and Afro-American Collection," will feature portions of Charles Blockson's private collection of over 700,000 items and artifacts that are related to the global Black experience. The exhibition will make its public debut on Juneteenth weekend, in a brand new gallery space built inside the historic Centre Theater in Norristown.

Throughout March and April, homeschool families have the opportunity to become zoologists and conservationists at their local zoo. On select Fridays, Elmwood Park Zoo will host Homeschool Workshops in which young scholars will learn about the environment and the precious animals that live there. Each program will consist of engaging STEM-based activities and an animal meet-and-greet. Animal lovers between the ages of five and twelve will learn valuable lessons they can take with them wherever life takes them.

Elmwood Park Zoo invites school-aged children between the ages of five and twelve to participate in their STEM-based workshops. The young explorers will enjoy the hands-on activities and animal meet-and-greets while learning about the environment and the animals that live there. Homeschool students, cyber school students, and others are welcome to participate in these Homeschool Workshops, which run on select Fridays from January 14 through April 15, 2022.

Elmwood Park Zoo is pleased to announce the return of its holiday lights event, Wild Lights, for its fourth consecutive year. Debuting in 2018, Wild Lights is now a highly-anticipated annual celebration for families in the Greater Philadelphia region.

Elmwood Park Zoo is excited to announce it has received a $1 million donation from the Genuardi Family Foundation. The gift is in support of the zoo's efforts to expand its development across the Stony Creek and is one of the largest in the zoo's 97-year history.
