Hochman & Goldin Discusses Coral Gables Speed Limits

LogoTo avoid injuries involving pedestrians and potential death, the City of Coral Gables is aiming to reduce speed limits in many of its frequently traveled areas, breaking from the 30 miles per hour speed limit typically found in most of South Florida's residential neighborhoods. The city intends to drop speed limits to 25 miles per hour in most of its neighborhoods, while several of its gated communities will see speed limits drop to 20 miles per hour. Any neighborhoods that don't have the lower speed limits posted will default to 30 miles per hour.

Hochman & Goldin Discusses Florida Traffic Rules

LogoThere is currently no Florida law explicitly mentioning who has the right of way, but there are rules in place in terms of which driver is responsible for yielding when a traffic situation arises. If two drivers arrive at the stop simultaneously, the driver to the right has the right of way.
