Oxyfluorfen is orange colored pre and post emergent herbicide which is non corrosive, crystalline solid, and moderately toxic. Oxyfluorfen is utilized to manage grassy weeds and broadleaf in fruits, vegetables and cotton. Koltar, RH-2915 and Goal are some of the trade names for oxyfluorfen and available in granular form or in concentrated emulsifiable. Oxyfluorfen reduce the loss of crops by getting rid of weed and assure constancy in food prices. Oxyfluorfen is insoluble in water, absorbs soil particles and cannot be easily disperse. Therefore oxyfluorfen does not create soil and ground water pollution. Oxyfluorfen is flammable at high temperatures and stable in normal temperature and pressure. Inhalation of oxyfluorfen can cause ill effects on respiratory systems and also cause irritation to eyes and skin.
