Those who are wishing to become more active for the sake of their health often assume they must jump instantly into a high intensity workout to get any benefits. This is a common misconception, and studies are finding that light-intensity exercises can offer just as many benefits as the higher impact ones, and are more favorable for those just starting out.
During the course of a study done by professors at Bellarmine University in Louisville, KY discovered that those who spent more time moving around during the day had healthier insulin and triglyceride levels than those who were sedentary.
