1000’s of runners will get a chance to run the last mile of the Boston Marathon this Saturday. More than 2,200 people are expected to attend the event and cross the iconic yellow and blue finish line.

16 year old Alana Hadley started running one day and hasn’t stopped since. Hadley runs on average 110 miles a week and has been running since age 6. Alana just happens to be the top 16 year old long-distance runner in the country.

It seems like there is a different 5K run/walk every weekend to participate in. Every charity or group that needs to fundraise organizes one. Apparently running a 5K is the new “cool” thing to do.
