Red Mountain Pass has achieved infamy for being among the most challenging mountain passes which should only be tackled by people who have had many years of experience with off-roading and are familiar with its risks. There are few to no guardrails and the drop-offs are steep, so it's reserved solely for the people that know what they are doing. Off-roading aficionados that are able to navigate it, however, will more than likely agree that the vistas outweigh any potential danger of Red Mountain Pass. Despite its notoriety, over 2,000 vehicles make their way through the picturesque mountain pass on a daily basis.
